Where Dreams Come True

I am sitting here on this slow, cold Monday morning checking corporate emails..... but all I can think about is that one week from today I will be WALKING IN TO THE MAGIC KINDGOM AT DISNEY WORLD!!!!!

Do you know how hard it is for me to concentrate right now? My mind is in over-drive thinking about first walking down Main Street. I absolutely love the smell of fresh baked cinnamon rolls and chocolate chip cookies, the bouqets of Mickey balloons everywhere, the smile on every child's face as they see Cinderella's castle for the first time, and the excitement of knowing the magic that the day has in store. So trying to focus on an Excel Spreadsheet right now is pretty difficult (needless to say).

My entire family will embark on a 8 day journey beginning on Memorial Day to visit all of the parks at Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL. For those of you who do not know the Gunnells Family, Disney is pretty much our heaven on earth (insert making fun of us here). We are all just grown up children. Each of us understands and appreciates the magic that Disney World brings, and we completely embrace it. We have been known to go on vacation there even before my two nieces were born, but now that they are both here (Sophie is 7 and Maddie turns 4 today) the magic has been once again renewed in all of our hearts as we watch their eyes continuously light up.

For the other Disney World fans out there, this post is not to brag or rub it in, but rather to re-awaken that Disney magic in your soul as well. So since this has been one of my cheesiest posts in a long, long time, I will end it with one of my favorite (and yes cheesiest) quotes of all time:

"A dream is a wish your heart makes

when you're fast asleep.

In dreams you lose your heartaches-

whatever you wish for, you keep.

Have faith in your dreams and someday

your rainbow will come smiling thru.

No matter how your heart is grieving,

if you keep on believing,

the dream that you wish will come true."

I love this post. So will Allie when I show and read it to her. Take note of the "must do's" vs. "I could have done with out". We are planning a trip for next spring!!!!

I sang that song once for a solo. fun fun. I'm not jealous at all, actually, since if I went, i could barely walk the entire time, would simply hate everyone around me, and that's not even covering how miserable the kids would be...but yall have fun!
